← Back to the Turkey city atlas
This is part of the detailed Turkey city atlas for choosing where to live, relocate or spend a longer season. In Turkey, the exact neighbourhood, building, transport and registration situation matter as much as the city itself.
In this guide
Who is it suitable for?
Kemer is suitable for those who want mountains by the sea, a small resort near Antalya, nature and a calm pace. This is more of a lifestyle location than a big city in its own right.
Districts
Kemer Center. The most practical option: shops, cafes, sea, transport.
Goynuk. Quieter, hotels, nature, families.
Beldibi. Cheaper, closer to Antalya, but regionally easier.
Çamyuva/Kiriş. Resort villages, quieter, seasonal.
Tekirova. Beautiful, nature, further, seasonal.
Where to be careful
Seasonal villages where almost everything is closed in winter. Houses without heating. Too remote options without a car.
Where are there more foreigners?
Kemer Center, Camyuva, Goynuk. The Russian-speaking environment is noticeable, but less than in Antalya/Alanya.
Housing
Check humidity, heating, internet, seasonality of rental. Because of the mountains, the sun and humidity may differ even on neighboring streets.
Transport
You can drive to Antalya, but for a permanent life a car is very desirable.
Cafe and food
Center: tourist cafes, fish, bars.
Göynük/Çamyuva: family cafes, hotel infrastructure.
Neighborhood: breakfasts by the mountains, fish restaurants, beach places.
Little tricks
- Kemer is wonderful if Antalya is too big.
- For medicine, banking and big shopping, you often go to Antalya.
- Live in the winter before renting for a year.
